  • Then cancel the lease at anytime to buy the equipment once your plant starts turning a profit. 
  • 70% of whatever you paid towards the rental goes towards the purchase.

 

FOR EXAMPLE:

 

Rent $100,000.00 worth of lab equipment for ten months at $3,000.00 per month.  Your plant can now afford to buy the equipment - so you cancel your lease.  Therefore 70% of the payments goes towards the purchase of the equipment:

 

$3,000 x 10 = $30,000

Amount paid for 10 months

 

70% of $30,000 = $21,000      Credit toward purchase

 

$21,000 - $100,000 = $79,000

Owed on lab equipment

 

$30,000 - $21,000 = $9,000
